We are looking for
To strengthen our team, we are currently looking for a Head of Infrastructure (m/f/d). In this role, you will typically be responsible for managing our clients’ IT infrastructure — from end devices and Mobile Device Management (MDM) to network and cloud architectures, all the way to information security. You will act as either a hands-on expert or a team lead, depending on the client’s needs.
Tasks
- Overall responsibility for IT infrastructures: (virtual) servers, networks, cloud environments, end devices/MDM, asset management
- Ensuring IT security standards, compliance requirements, and data protection regulations
- Planning and implementation of infrastructure projects (e.g., migrations, cloud strategies, security initiatives)
- Leading and developing infrastructure teams (5–20 people)
- Selecting and managing external service providers and partners; experience in license management and contract negotiations
- Developing standards, policies, and best practices in the areas of infrastructure and IT security
- Close collaboration with other IT departments, project management, and management teams
- Conducting technical due diligence
Profile
- Degree in (business) informatics or a comparable qualification
- Several years of leadership experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, or IT security
- In-depth knowledge of network architectures, firewalls, MDM, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and security
- Proven experience in leading and developing teams
- Familiarity with ITIL or ISO standards (e.g., ISO 27001) is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and a hands-on mindset
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills
